Kohlu Block Assignment

August 02, 2019 marked the completion assignment of Kohlu Block at Islamabad. Officials from Orient Petroleum Inc. (Orient Petroleum) and Tullow Pakistan (Developments) Limited (Tullow) graced the event with their presence. The completion documents were signed by CEO Orient Petroleum, Mr. Kamran Ahmed and Country Manager Tullow, Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed Virk. Following approval of Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) and GoP, 30% working interest owned by Tullow in Kohlu Block was assigned to Orient Petroleum Inc. effective March 13, 2019. Kohlu Block is located in Districts Kohlu, Dera Bugti and Barkhan of Baluchistan. OGDCL is the operator with 40% working interest whereas MPCL and Orient Petroleum are JVPs with 30% working interest each.
