ORIENT PETROLEUM – an exploration and production Company, the successor of Occidental Of Pakistan Inc. has been functioning in Pakistan since 1979. Within five years of commencing E&P operations, it made Pakistan’s largest oil discovery from its Dhurnal field in Potwar Basin, Punjab with oil in place of over 150 Million Barrels and was producing over 22,000 Barrels of oil per day. With a vision to expand its E&P footprint, Orient Petroleum has made significant strides in the field through various initiatives and innovations and has remained successful in providing sustainable solutions to Pakistan’s energy requirements.

In 1995, Orient Petroleum was acquired by the Group and has since continued to operate its producing assets and acquired new assets thorough divestment, mergers, farm-in/farm-outs with local and international companies.
