Free Medical Camp at Dhurnal – Q1 2024
Orient Petroleum arranged a free medical camp with provision of medicines for the local community of Dhurnal village at Government Basic health Unit (BHU). The objective of setting up the camp was to provide medical consultation through qualified doctors and medicines to the population of Dhurnal village and surrounding communities. The camp was administered in liaison with BHU Dhurnal & the Company doctors and paramedic team.
The camp was intended to accommodate patients of seasonal and basic common diseases in the OPI Plant’s neighboring and surrounding communities. A favorable consideration was made to specific medicines/ supplies requested from Basic Health Unit staff in background of their appreciation of local health issues.
Information on the activity plan was spread in advance through announcements in mosques, spread of word by local influencers/ workers and placement of banners at prominent locations. The waiting area was set up with additional sitting arrangements in anticipation of the expected turnout. An enthusiastic response was received from the local community where a total of 210 patients attended the Camp.
