Protective Arrangements & Flood Relief Activity at Zamzama Field- 2022:

During prolonged Monsoon season, and spell continues about 02 months, the total rain was recorded as 1660 mm in Right Bank Region. The Right Bank Region also received Rainwater / flash flood water from Baluchistan and the hill torrents water from Khirthar range also accumulated along F.P Bund. All our western side well locations were under water due to the collapse of western bund of MNV Drain/ Chandan Wah.

Since the start of this situation leading to big disaster and then till normalization of flood situation, Orient Petroleum was continuously monitoring the flood situation to keep safe our installations as well the people around ZGP. Regarding social activities, apart from food help to the surrounding people the following help was provided.

On request of by District Administration Dadu and Pak Army, the Orient Petroleum management arranged visit of foreigner lady and UN ambassador Ms. Angelina Julie. Also arranged visit of Malala Yousafzai visit along with CM cabinet Ministers Syed Sardar Shah and Azra Pechuhoo. Moreover, Orient Petroleum managed French Army soldiers approximate sixty peoples (including Pak Army and Police) who were came and sent by United Nation’s mission to support Flood victims in Pakistan. The French team installed six water purification plants inside ZGP fence and Orient Petroleum supported and facilitated them to distribute pure drinking water to flood affectless. Another major social activity of Orient Petroleum was to establish free medical camp at outer gate of Zamzama Gas Plant to accommodate and facilitate the local people’s temporary residents in the flood camps, along with M.N.V. Drain bund and villages near our ZGP. This medical camp was continued for 10 days to give free medical treatment to the flood affectless. Most of the patients were with Malaria, fever, Heatstroke, digestive problems etc. and were properly treated.
