Ratana-5 Well Drilling

By the grace of Almighty Allah, Orient Petroleum Inc. alongwith its Joint Venture Partners, OGDCL, POL and AOC have spud fifth development well Ratana-5 in Tehsil Jand, Tehsil Attock on June 09, 2021. InshaAllah the Ratana Joint Venture Partners expect to complete the drilling operations during the month of February 2022. The drilling objective of Ratana-5 well is enhancement and sustainable production from Ratana Field. Ratana-5 Drilling estimated cost is ±28 US$ MM. A 2000 HP Rig-223 has been hired from Schlumberger.

The Company has provided employment to more than 50 unskilled workers belonging to locals and landowners. About 203 Kanal land has been leased from the landowners for R-5 drilling operations. Approx. Rs.9 MM is being paid to the landowners against two years lease rental and compensation for house relocation, crops, bunds and trees.
